John's body wax suits flaming character

The very next day after he left PBB, John Prats returned to work.

"I left Saturday night [April 1], Sunday morning, I was already shooting for my new film with Regal, Manay Po, where I play Cherry Pie Picache's second gay son," John says. "Kuya ko si Polo Ravales, a closet queen; tapos, ako, who's a cross-dresser here; and then si Jiro Manio, na confused pa about his gender."

After shooting Manay Po, he went to the taping of ABS-CBN's new teleserye, Bituing Walang Ningning (a remake on TV of Sharon Cuneta's 1985 hit flick), where he is paired with Sarah Geronimo.

"Kaya, talagang wala akong pahinga. Right after PBB, puro trabaho agad. Tuwang-tuwa nga si Direk Joel Lamangan sa ginawang pagwa-wax sa akin sa PBB, removing all my body hair. Bagay kasi sa role ko as a flamboyant gay in Manay Po dahil I don't even have armpit hair, kaya puro sleeveless dresses ang ipi-nasuot niya sa akin and he made me wave in front of the camera so they can see makinis talaga ang kili-kili ko."

Is he now going steady with Nancy Castiglione?

"We're not on yet officially. We became close when we were paired in Your Song, which I taped before I entered Kuya's house. But she already knows that I care for her."

Doesn't he mind that Nancy has been with other guys before, like Luis Manzano, Paolo Contis and Bullet Jalosjos?

"Not at all. Kung marami siyang naging boyfriend, marami rin naman akong naging girlfriend. What is past is past. The important thing is where our relationship is going from here."
