    Small but terrible?

That best describes John Prats — “terrible” in a lovable way, that is — who showcases his dancing prowess in John Prats, Dance Floor Dynamite (released by Galaxy Records) in which he dances to the beats of reggaeton and pop techno, to the music of Dos Fuertes (Tarat Tat), Federico Franch (Electro Tale Vol. 1 [Cream]), 49ers (Ritmo Forte), DJ KC (Gun Shot), DJ Tom & DB Sonc (Dadadada), Alex K & WILZ (Dab Keh), Dos Fuertes (Bringka), Ndian Boy (Ten Little Indians), NINI (Dabbi Doo), Groove Coverage (Poison), DJ Danny vs DJ O Nel (Don’t Wanna), Dance Floor Saints (Mr. Tambourine Man) and Juggy D (Sohniya).

“I really love to dance since I was a kid,” said John who can also be seen on the ABS-CBN Sunday show ASAP ’07 Live and, soon, on the new sitcom Parekoy (also on ABS-CBN). “I got to love dancing even more when I started doing Ang TV because we were given dance lessons on weekends.”

John stands 5’5.5", weighs 135 lbs., and wears medium-sized shirt, medium-sized briefs and size-8.5 shoes.

Have you ever been insecure about your height?
“Never! Not even if they tease me about it, I don’t get pikon. Sabi nga nila, big things come in small packages. Our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, was only a few inches above five feet. Tom Cruise is not that tall, either. Nobody’s perfect. I make up for it sa talent.”

What if your crush or girlfriend is taller than you?
“It doesn’t matter. You love the person not so much for her height as for her personality.”

What do you do to impress a girl?
    “I make her laugh.”

And what should a girl do to win your heart?
“She should be malambing, loving and super-understanding.”

How’s your diet?
“I eat everything but in moderation. No white rice for me, only brown rice. I seldom take breakfast because I wake up late. For lunch and dinner, anything basta lutong-bahay — sinigang, adobo, etc. But I eat only a small amount for dinner.”

Snacks?
“I’m not a snacks person; I’m more into drinks — Starbucks coffee, and juices. I take a cup as soon as I wake up and I take more especially when I’m working. I also take mango juice, but not much soda kasi nakakalaki ng tiyan, eh. I take only Coke Lite.”

    “My back.”

And what part do you think needs improvement?
“My abs. They need to be trimmed. I have slight love handles because I love eating nga, eh. I should do more sit-ups.”

What part of a girl’s body do you notice first?
“The face. My type? ‘Yung mestiza. Fair-skinned. Nagkataon lang that my past girlfriends were chinita.”

“Si Heart (Evangelista). The rest are not from showbiz. It’s only now that my girlfriend is swak na swak sa gusto ko, maputi at mestiza.”

Are you referring to Shaina Magdayao? (She’s 18, John is 23).

If and when, you’ll be her first boyfriend.
    “Sana — sana!”

How many girlfriends have you had?
    “Quite a few.”

Weren’t you hurt when Heart became Jericho (Rosales’) girlfriend?

Do you apply anything on your skin?
“Nothing. I wash my face with just soap and water, and a little moisturizer.”

How long does it take you to fix yourself?
“Fast. One hour, including taking a bath. I soap my hair first and then pababa. I have a routine in dressing up. I put on my shirt first, then my pants. And then, I spray myself with perfume.”

What’s your favorite perfume?
“I have my own brand, called Motion by John P. It will be launched next year. The scent is light citrus, like Clinique Happy. It makes you feel fresh and smell fresh.”
