Definitely. Sobrang enjoy, sobrang happy. I am enjoying my time with my friends and my family and myself. And actually I am not ready to date anyone right now, I’m just enjoying my single life.” During the Banana Split boys’ guest appearance at the ABS-CBN Live Kapamilya Chat last March 23, Zanjoe Marudo, Jayson Gainza, and Pooh revealed that John had undergone some kind of “retail therapy” to divert his attention from the heartache. “Hindi naman. Actually kasi parang siguro lang ibig nilang sabihin na kapag single ka you have your time for yourself, your family, and friends na mas nakakapag-focus ako sa sarili ko wala akong iniisip or iniintindi na girlfriend, wala akong nireregaluhan kaya siguro yung mga binibili ko at pagreregalo ko for myself na lang,” John said in his defense. Just a few months after his breakup with Shaina, rumors that the actress was reportedly going out with John Lloyd Cruz began to surface. John said that he totally has no idea on what’s going on between the two, since they (he and Shaina) have no communication at all. “Well, ako naman gusto ko respetuhin din ako kung ano yung mga ginagawa ko sa buhay ko at siguro ganun na lang din sa kanya. We have to respect kung saan sila masaya or kung ano man yung meron sa kanila kasi wala rin naman akong alam kung ano yung totoo sa kanila kaya basta sana masaya siya.” As for his ex-girlfriends, John revealed that he is starting to make connections with Heart Evangelista again. “Lately lang kami nagiging okay ni Heart. Nung nag-birthday ako, she greeted me on TV. Sana makapag-usap na kami ulit ni Heart, siguro ito na yung time na maging friends kami uli.”
