John Prats is now being besieged with offers
It's not very easy, says John Prats, who placed second to Big Winner Keanna Reeves in the show's Celebrity Edition. The show gave his career a much-needed shot in the arm. The exposure he got on Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Edition made people sit up and take notice of him again. It seems that even his own home network, ABS-CBN, has rediscovered John's talents. The 22-year-old actor and dancer is now being besieged with offers. This month, he takes on a featured role in ABS-CBN's latest soap opra, Bituing Walang Ningning where he plays Oman, the childhood friend of Dorina, who has a crush on her. Dorina is played by Sarah Geronimo. Speaking of crushes, John who was romantically linked to Nancy Castiglione just before he entered the Big Brother house is now being linked to another ex-Big Brother housemate, Say Alonzo. Say, who was part of the show's first season, fell in love with fellow housemate JB Magsaysay. However, the two eventually decided to break up on the night that Say was evicted, due to rumours that JB was seeing young actress Angelica Panganiban on the sly. Angelica later denied the rumors. So where does this leave Nancy, who even sent a special taped message to John on his birthday (he turned 22 while inside the Big Brother house), saying "My wish for us is sana when you come out, we could pick up from where we left off and make the friendship grow"? John and Nancy also made a live appearance on The Buzz several days after the Big Night, where John admitted his feelings for Nancy, who responded in kind. "Wala talaga akong oras ngayon [I really don't have time for that now]," John said, replying to questions thrown at him by the media. "Kalalabas ko pa lang sa bahay, at madalas, kapag hindi ako nag-ta-taping, may shooting ako. Ang tagal kong hinintay ang mga ganitong klaseng opportunities [I just got out of the house, and usually, if I'm not taping, I'm shooting. I waited a long time for opportunities like these], and I want to take advantage of all of them." |
