Hindi lang mga independent movies ang naiimbitahan ng mga international festivals, kundi pati rin ang mga mainstream movies.

    Nakatanggap ng dalawang letter of invitations ang Regal Entertainment recently, one from the 20th Tokyo International Film Festival sa Japan and the other from the 23rd Torino GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) Film Festival sa Turin, Italy.

    Invited ang dalawang 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival entries ng Regal� Super Noypi at ZsaZsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh � for the Tokyo International Film Festival (www.tiff.jp.net/en, although wala pa sa listahan) na gaganapin this November 20 sa Tokyo, Japan.

    Super Noypi starred Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Sandara Park, Katrina Halili, Polo Ravales, and John Prats. Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh, on the other hand, starred Zsa Zsa Padilla, Rustom Padilla, Alfred Vargas, and Pops Fernandez.

    Invited naman for competition sa Torino GLBT Film Festival (www.turinglfestival.com) ang dalawang gay-themed films ng Regal Films� ZsaZsa Zaturnnah again and Manay Po, both directed by Joel Lamangan. Manay Po starred Cherry Pie Picache, John Prats, Polo Ravales, and Jiro Manio.

    Incidentally, may part two na ang Manay Po na mag-i-story conference and first shooting day next week with a scheduled playdate on January 30, 2008.

Invited sa 2 international film festival ang tatlong pelikula ng Regal Films.
    This November 20 to 28 sa Tokyo Japan, for exhibition ang dalawa sa tatlong film fest entry ng Regal last year na Zsazsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh and Super Noypi sa Tokyo International CineCity Festival 2007.

    Super Noypi will be shown on November 24 at 11:30 a.m. at ang Zsazsa naman 4:30 p.m. same day. Sorry hindi namin maintindihan ang nasa website (www.ticf.info) dahil Nihonggo.

    Next year naman sa Turin Italy, invited for competition sa 23rd Torino GLBT Film Festival ang Zsazsa Zaturnnah pa rin plus ang Manay Po na magsisimula na ang part two next week with its story conference and first shooting day.

    Both movies were directed by Joel Lamangan. GLBT stands for Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals and Transgender.

    Torino is among the first international festival dedicated to gay themed movies.
