John Prats renews contract with ABS-CBN By: Manila P. Santos   From: ABS-CBN website [August 13, 2008] Contrary to rumors that he is all set to switch networks, John Prats signed a one-year contract with ABS-CBN at the ABS-CBN executive boardroom yesterday morning, August 12. John also revealed that he is all set to play the role of Tiny Tony, the next superhero storyline in the Mars Ravelo�s Komiks series. �When I read the script, sabi ko grabe ang ganda. Usually kasi sa Komiks comedy [ang story], pero etong story comedy rin pero mas drama. Pinapakita yung love ng anak sa mom. Nandun yung moral lesson ng story,� John explained. He also showed sketches of Tiny Tony�s costume, which involves four layers of clothing and which will require John to have blue hair. The 24-year-old dance icon was also admittedly overwhelmed by all the attention surrounding his contract signing yesterday. �Actually it�s my first time na ganito so hindi ko pa ma-absorb yung [experience]. It�s overwhelming,� he admitted. John was also quick to dispel any doubts regarding his loyalty to the Kapamilya network. �I�ve been in ABS-CBN for 17 years. Dito na ako lumaki. Parang university ko na ito. Dito na ako nag kinder hanggang college, parang ganun. Everyday nakikilala ko na lahat ng guard dito. Parang ganung level. Dito ako na-in love, dito ako nasaktan at na-in love ulit,� he revealed. John also stressed that despite the fact that his younger sister Camille has transferred networks, it doesn�t mean he plans to follow suit. �Overall, sobrang happy ako dito. Kasi ang dami kong mami-miss kung mawawala ako sa ABS-CBN. Example ko na lang yung ASAP kapamilya ko,� he added. Apart from playing the role of Tiny Tony, John will also be headlining Your Song for the entire month of September. John also divulged that he will also be playing a special role in I Love Betty La Fea. He also regularly appears on ASAP every Sunday.
