John Prats, Jayson Gainza, and Zanjoe Marudo reunite in ‘PareKoy’ By: Napoleon Quintos   From: ABS-CBN website [January 03, 2009] John Prats, Jayson Gainza, and Zanjoe Marudo are out to fill your afternoons with loads of laughter in PareKoy. The wacky trio that was first formed in the sitcom Aalog-Alog has reunited for the new Kapamilya daytime comedy-serye. During the press conference for PareKoy, ABS-CBN.com spoke to the three about their friendship and how that bond translates to good chemistry in front of the camera. For Zanjoe, much has improved about their group compared to when they first got together on television a year and a half ago. “Mas kumportable na kami ngayon sa isa’t isa. Mas marami na kaming inputs sa mga eksena. Ngayon mas natural na ‘yung mga ginagawa namin compared noong nagsisimula pa lang kami sa Aalog-Alog na nagkakapaan pa kami. Ngayon ‘yung mga eksena napakikialaman na namin. Kapag may naiisip kaming mga magagandang jokes ipinapasok din namin.” In PareKoy, Zanjoe portrays Mario, a waiter who constantly flirts with women. Playing Jess, a mailman devoted to his wife and two kids, Jayson said that he is happy to be working with his real life best buds John and Zanjoe. Jayson talked about how their good working relationship helped them in every scene. “Relax na kami sa isa’t isa. Sa mga eksena kapag alam namin ‘yung isa nakalimutan ‘yung linya niya pipitikin lang namin ‘yung paa. Ibig sabihin nun siya na ‘yung magsasalita.” He even shared what they do for fun on the set and whenever they would want to go out to have a good time. “Minsan magbibigay kami ng comment sa isa’t isa. Si John sasabihin niya na manood kami ng Tiny Tony tapos tatanungin niya ano tingin namin. Kapag may time naman lumalabas din kami. Kumakain kami sa mga ihaw-ihaw dito lang sa malapit. Kapag hindi naman pwede si John o si Zanjoe pinupuntahan na namin sa set o sa bahay.” After playing the small-but-terrible superhero Tiny Tony, John now plays a nurse named Joseph, a responsible kuya to five sexy younger sisters. Being in the business for 17 years, John said that he is happy to have found good friends in Zanjoe and Jayson. “Si Zanjoe simpleng nakakatawa. Chill lang ‘yan kapag napansin niyo pero kapag humirit super nakakatawa. Tsaka mabait si Zanjoe. Si Jayson naman siya ang favorite naming asarin kasi hindi siya pikon. Mahilig ding manlibre ‘yan lalo na soft drinks. Sa taping minsan magpapa-soft drinks ‘yan sa lahat. Very generous, ‘yun ang gusto namin sa kanya. Tsaka idol namin ‘yan kasi super love niya ang family niya kaya nabibigyan kami ni Zanjoe ng positive effect.” Watch John, Jayson, and Jayson in PareKoy every afternoon right after Wowowee beginning January 5.
